"Rio" is a fabulous Holsteiner cross (dam is dutch/thoro and sire is approved by both the Hanoverian and Holsteiner Ass.).
This gelding is athletic and a definite dressage/jumper prospect. He is eligible for a certificate of pedigree with AHA or AHHA. Born 7/01/06, he is very laid back and accepting of humans. When he moves he is very balanced and light on his feet with good over reach. He loves to jump and has amazing aptitude and cleverness for it, easily free-jumps 4 ft. with great technique.
Very sociable and brave, intelligent, loves attention. Ties, good for farrier, vet, clips, loads, bathes, etc... no vices. Rio is now going well under saddle w,t,c and is extremely easy to ride, will make an excellent amateur or junior horse in time. Smooth to sit, well balanced, and light in the bridle. Doing well on transitions and is well behaved indoor/outdoor with or without other horses in the arena. Just starting over small fences and is very brave and scopey.
Rio has been brought along slowly and correctly and shows more aptitude every day (see new video above) As his training progresses he will be continually re-evaluated and priced accordingly.
